A vehicle equipped with a tailgate is provided to overcome a conventional problem of having to yield capacity of a trunk of the vehicle, by enabling convenient opening of a tail gate with a reduced volume. A vehicle equipped with a tailgate(14) comprises a vehicle body(12), the tailgate, a gas spring(16), a transmission lever(36), a first lever arm(30), and a second lever arm(38). The tailgate is pivoted upon the vehicle body, between a closed position and an opened position. The gas spring operates the tailgate. The transmission lever operates the tailgate between a first slant position and a second slant position of the tailgate. The operation of the tailgate by the gas spring is performed by the first lever arm. The operation of the tailgate by the transmission lever is performed by the second lever arm disposed higher than the first lever arm. The transmission lever comprises a main lever for operating the tailgate and a second lever hinged on the vehicle body. |
