PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device and an image communicating device in which a defective discharge can accurately be sensed, and printed matter being excellent in the appearance can be realized. SOLUTION: In the recording device which has a double face printing function and a sensor for performing the registration adjustment for a recording head which is loaded on a scanning carriage and the image communicating device, after image data is printed on the surface of a recording sheet, the recording sheet is reversed, then, a mark for sensing is printed on the rear surface.
