PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to carry out working with high precision and working with a favorable finished surface. SOLUTION: This lens working method is devised capable of selecting working speed in accordance with the kind of a material of a lens and individually setting combination of each feed speed (lens axial rotating speed) and tool rotating speed during the peripheral surface roughing work of the lens, during the grooving work on the peripheral surface of the lens and during the chamfering work of an edge by selecting a lens peripheral thickness.
