PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent origination of electric waves without increasing costs too when signals are transmitted from a wire telephone terminal utilizing telephone directory data of a portable phone terminal in a restricted area such as hospitals where origination by radio is limited. SOLUTION: In the case where origination is done from a wire telephone terminal utilizing telephone directory data of a portable phone terminal 1 in a restricted area in a hospital where origination by electric waves is limited, a user first connects the portable phone terminal 1 and the wire telephone terminal via a communication cable 4. Consequently, wire function invalidation means 113 in the portable phone terminal 1 invalidates a wire function of own terminal. Thereafter, the user performs selection operation of the telephone directory data. Telephone directory data transfer means 112 in the portable phone terminal 1 transfers a telephone number in the telephone directory data selected by the user to the wire phone terminal.
