PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excavating equipment which enables switching to be surely performed between expansion blades, while enabling desired foot protection bulb parts different in excavation diameter to be efficiently formed depending on expansive excavation work conditions, and enabling the expansive excavation work to be performed in the state of low excavation load even in the case of the large-diameter foot protection bulb part, and which enables a reduction in the size and weight of the whole excavating head body. SOLUTION: The excavating head body B or an excavating rod 3 is provided with the plurality of expansion blades 8 and 9 different in excavation diameter, which comprise at least the expansion blade 8 with a small excavation diameter and the expansion blade 9 with an excavation diameter larger than that of the expansion blade 8, and which can perform a diameter enlarging operation in the state of being equipped with blade parts 8A and 9A for expansive excavation. The excavating head body B or the excavating rod 3 is also provided with a restraining means C for restraining the diameter enlarging operation of the expansion blade 9 when the diameter of the expansion blade 8 is enlarged, and a release means E for releasing the restraint of the expansion blade 9 by the restraining means C.
