The screwdriver has a slider case fixed to a housing for inserting a bit, and a slider capable of reciprocating, where the slider is supported in the case. An arm portion (9) is rotatably supported in the slider engaging a guide slot, where the portion oscillates relative to the reciprocation of the slider. A cylindrical drum is rotatably supported in the slider, and delivers a screw chain belt relative to the oscillation. The drum has two flanges engaged with the belt, and a ratchet (11e) engaged with the arm portion, where the ratchet is formed on an inner surface of one flange.
