<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion composition containing an α-lipoic acid in high concentration, with high dispersing stability in water and excellent in stability for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The α-lipoic acid is completely dissolved by using fats and oils of plant and animal origin and/or SAIB (Sucrose diacetate hexaisobutylate) and ethanol in a specific ratio as a solvent for dissolving the α-lipoic acid.
