<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material which is free from a texture fog and has excellent color developing sensitivity and texture/image shelf stability, and a recording sheet with a recording material layer formed of the recording material on a base material sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The recording material layer is formed of the recording material comprising (A) a color-developing dye, (B) a chemical compound represented by formula (I) and (C) a urea/urethane compound.
