<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a source recording apparatus and a source recording method that reduces a time required for recording and editing a video source such as video contents and carries out edit of the video material with high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An optical disk apparatus 2 for recording the video contents and a computer 3 are connected via a network 900. The computer 3 receives video clip data and proxy AV data with a low resolution from the optical disk apparatus 2, applies streaming reproduction to the data as a live video image, receives an essence mark as metadata at an optional position of the proxy AV data and describes the result to a metadata file. On the occurrence of a communication fault between the optical disk apparatus 2 and the computer 3, the optical disk apparatus 2 informs again the computer 3 about the clip data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
