摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a variable vane type turbocharger capable of improving supercharging response at a transient time of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine for a vehicle, the control device is equipped with a turbine 32 provided to an exhaust passage 20 of the internal combustion engine, with a compressor 34 which is provided to an intake passage 22 of the internal combustion engine and which feeds air to the internal combustion engine in accordance with drive torque of the turbine 32, with a variable vane 36 for changing the flow velocity of exhaust gas for driving the turbine 32, with a transient state determination means for determining whether or not the internal combustion engine is in a transient state, and with a VN opening setting means at transient for setting a target VN opening vt at transient on the basis of exhaust energy acquired from an intake air amount and a fuel injection amount for indicating the exhaust flow rate when the engine is determined to be in the transient state by the transient state determination means.
