PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type developing device capable of holding a sufficient amount of developer without strictly managing a gap between rollers used for a developer holding means in the wet type developing device. SOLUTION: Provided is the wet type developing device equipped with the developer holding means of holding a developer supplied by a developer supply means of supplying the developer, the wet type developing device being characterized in that the developer holding means has a first roller which is rotatably pivoted, a second roller which is rotatably pivoted, and a flexible cylindrical member which encloses the first roller and can move relatively to the first roller at least in the rotating direction of the first roller and the developer is held by the cylindrical member and second roller.
