<p>A cable comprised of an insulation and a wiring is arranged between construction units (16,18,20,22) driven by an actuator (12). The force path curve during movement of the construction units is obtained. Changes in the force path curve due to the successive movements of the construction units are evaluated to determine a salient position for close fitting of the construction units with the insulation, closing fitting of the construction units with the wiring, or complete splitting of the cable. The cable processing apparatus is monitored and controlled based on the salient position. An independent claim is also included for a cable processing apparatus.</p> |
