<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify operation for information browsing in a thumbnail display of three-dimensional display. <P>SOLUTION: In an information browsing apparatus, on a thumbnail picture 16, a category is arranged in a depth (a Z axis) direction and the thumbnail 17 of the category is arranged in a horizontal (an X axis) direction, respectively and they are displayed. Any one of thumbnails 17A<SB>U</SB>and 17A<SB>D</SB>above and below a category displayed in the front side and a category name display part 19 is focused by a focus 20 and, with operation of a remote controller in the vertical direction, the focus 20 is moved vertically to change what is focused. When the right and left keys of the remote controller are operated in a state that the thumbnails 17AU and 17AD are focused, the column (layer) of the thumbnails scrolls horizontally and thus a thumbnail to be designated can be changed. When the right and left keys of the remote controller are operated in a state that the category name display part 19 is focused, the scroll in the depth direction is performed and a desired category can be designated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
