PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving tool capable of preventing wear on a surface and being made difficult to slide without performing troublesomeness such as the catching of the tool on legs. SOLUTION: This driving tool is provided with a body 2 provided with a driving part at the inside and a nose 4 provided at the lower end of the body 2. Metallic plate shaped protectors 10 and 11 are projected and formed to sides from upper parts and lower parts of both right and left side surfaces of the body 2, respectively. In the protectors 10 and 11, cut-out parts 13 and 15 are formed at portions in contact with a horizontal working surface when transversely installing the driving tool on the working surface.
