A portable multimedia device is provided to easily separate a touch panel from a display panel according to selection of a user, thereby improving the convenience of the user by coupling the touch panel with the display panel in a sliding type. A touch panel(110) receives an audio signal and outputs an audio. When a resistance value at a predetermined position is changed by operation of a user, the touch panel(110) outputs a position signal corresponding to the predetermined position. A signal generator receives the position signal from the touch panel(110), and outputs an input signal corresponding to the position signal. A display panel displays an image according to the input signal. The touch panel(110) and the display panel are placed in a case(140), wherein the case(140) has a sliding hole(141) formed at a sidewall thereof. The touch panel(110) is inserted into the case(140) through the sliding hole(141). A portion of the touch panel(110) is exposed to the outside of the case(140) through the sliding hole(141).
