A door elevating apparatus for discharging a document in a self-service verification issue machine is provided to interrupt a descending operation of a door by sensing the contact between the door and an object, thereby improving safety. A door elevating apparatus is installed at a document outlet(B1) of a document issue device(B). A document discharging groove is formed at a door body. A plurality of limitation members are arranged on the backside of the door body. An operational cam is inserted between the limitation members. An operational gear is connected and interlocks with the operational cam. A driving motor is for driving the operational gear. The operational cam and the operational gear are coupled with each other by a contact ball elastically supported by a spring.
