A bolt holding wrench is provided to grip bolts during fastening or releasing the bolts to prevent the bolts from being dropped, thereby preventing contamination and loss of the bolts. A bolt holding wrench includes a bit part(21). The bit part has a shape corresponding to a hole of the bolt. At least one through-slit(22) is formed at the bit part to cross a center part of the bit part. When the bit part is inserted into the hole of the bolt, the bit part separated by the slits is widened to grip the bolt. The bit part has a cross-sectional area larger than a hole of the bolt. The slit is divided into two parts to vertically cross the bit part.
