A method for manufacturing a steel plate with less temperature deviation, which improves productivity by minimizing a temperature deviation between a central portion of the steel plate and edge portions of the steel plate in the accelerated cooling process of the steel plate, thereby lowering recorrection ratio of the steel plate, is provided. In a method for manufacturing a steel plate by accelerated cooling of the steel plate while masking edge portions of a hot rolled steel plate, a method for manufacturing a steel plate with less width-directional temperature deviation is characterized in that the steel plate is accelerated cooled by arranging masks such that a masking amount increased from the edges of the steel plate to a width central portion of the steel plate is increased within a range of 10 to 30 mm in a proceeding direction of the steel plate. The masks are applied onto an upper surface of the steel plate while the masks are not applied onto the bottom of the steel plate.
