A device(100) for controlling use temperature of an optical module by using an uncooled laser diode comprises a low temperature set voltage setting unit(101) setting the low temperature set voltage for heating; a sensor power input unit(102) inserting sensor voltage; a high temperature set voltage setting unit(103) setting the high temperature set voltage for cooling; a comparator(104) connected with the low temperature set voltage setting unit to compare the low temperature set voltage set in the low temperature set voltage setting unit, with the sensor voltage input from the sensor power input unit; a comparator(105) connected with the high temperature set voltage setting unit to compare the high temperature set voltage set by the high temperature set voltage setting unit, with the sensor voltage; a logic combination circuit(106) connected with the low and high temperature set voltage setting units to generate on/off signals according to the output of each comparator; a temperature control circuit(107) connected with the logic combination circuit and driven as the output of the logic combination circuit is changed into a high state only when the voltage of the sensor is out of a set voltage range; and a TEC and heater embedding platform(108) heating or cooling the uncooled laser diode only within a set temperature range by generating heat by operating a TEC(Temperature Electric Cooler) and a heater when the temperature control circuit is driven, comprising a TOSA(Transmitter Optical Sub-assembly) and TEC platform and a TOSA and heater platform, and selectively using each platform.
