摘要 An LCD is provided to shorten the response time and increase the aperture ratio by optimizing the locations of a cutting pattern of a pixel electrode and a cutting pattern of a common electrode. A thin film transistor(30) is formed at a crossing of a gate line(10) and a data line(20). A pixel electrode(40) is connected to the thin film transistor. The pixel electrode has a clamp shape at a boundary with an adjacent pixel electrode along an extension direction of the gate line. A main pixel electrode cutting pattern(60) divides the pixel electrode into a first region(41) and a second region(42) having a large area than the first region. The main pixel electrode cutting pattern is disposed in parallel with the boundary between neighboring pixel electrodes. A common electrode is opposite to the pixel electrode with a liquid crystal layer therebetween. A main common electrode cutting pattern(70) is disposed in parallel with the boundary between neighboring pixel electrodes above the second region of the pixel electrode.
