A method for preparing medicaments containing vardenafil hydrochloride trihydrate

A method for producing medicaments that contain vardenafil hydrochloride, essentially as trihydrate in solid form is disclosed, wherein (a) vardenafil hydrochloride with any water content is employed for producing the medicament; (b) the vardenafil hydrochloride is converted substantially into trihydrate form at an intermediate processing step or in the final product by contacting the vardenafil hydrochloride with moistened gas. These medicaments are suitable for treating erectile dysfunction.
