PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method and a device for preventing stone fall capable of providing a stable tension to a stone fall prevention member by an elastic force, always detecting a stone fall suppressing force, and immediately detecting a trouble. SOLUTION: The stone fall prevention member 3 is stretched on a sloped surface 1, and connected to one end side fixing device 4 and the other end side fixing device 5 installed on the ground. A tensing device 7 is installed between one end 3A of the stone fall prevention member 3 and the one end side fixing device 4, and a tension imparting device 8 is installed between the other end 3B of the stone fall prevention member 3 and the other end side fixing device 5 to produce a tension in the stone fall prevention member 3. A coil spring tension indication part is formed on a sliding shaft 27 formed integrally with a coiled spring. Since the elastic force of the coiled spring is further stabilized by always imparting a tension to the stone fall prevention member 3 by the coiled spring, the quality of stone fall prevention can be secured.
