PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic caisson capable of ensuring a maintenance lock having enough size required for inspection/repair by recovering an excavator even in a small bore caisson. SOLUTION: The whole space surrounded by a caisson skeleton 2, a work room slab 4, and an upper slab 5 can be used as the maintenance lock 7. An opening part 8 for recovering the excavator is provided in the work room slab 4, an opening part 11 for material lock is provided above the opening part 8 for recovering the excavator on the upper slab 5, and an opening part 12 for man lock is provided in its vicinity. A hatch 13 for recovering the excavator is attached to the opening part 8 for recovering the excavator, and an excavator recovering device 18 is attached to the upper slab 5 on a side of the opening part 11 for material lock. A material shaft 21 having material lock 22 is attached to an upper part of the opening part 11 for material lock, and a man shaft 27 having elevating facility 28 and the man lock 29 is attached to the opening part 12 for man lock.
