PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous coating composition for a plastic base material, having excellent adhesiveness to the plastic base material, capable of forming a coated film having excellent water resistance or the like, and having excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The aqueous coating composition for the plastic base material contains a copolymer obtained by subjecting a vinylic monomer composition containing isobornyl methacrylate as an essential component to emulsion polymerization, and having≥100°C glass transition temperature.
