The security helmet has a connection for a gas mask. The connection has a holder (1) with a fixing (4) having an exterior contour (5). A receiver (12) for the holder to the helmet has a curved inner contour (14) matching the outer contour of the holder. The holder compensates for the angular difference between the gas mask and the helmet by rotation with respect to the receiver. The receiver and holder have interlocking retainers (6,16).
