PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact information input apparatus capable of USB connection by acquiring contact information even when connected to an apparatus which cannot automatically acquire a connection state of a contact. SOLUTION: By using the contact information input apparatus 10 capable of acquiring and outputting the connection state of a contact of peripheral equipment such as a sensor 30, each peripheral equipment is unified into an USB interface and connected to a USB host controller 23 of a security terminal 20. When the connection of the peripheral equipment is detected, management information on the peripheral equipment is registered to a RAM 25 by control of the CPU 21, while when the disconnection is detected, the management information on the peripheral equipment registered to the RAM is deleted. When the peripheral equipment to be monitored is deleted, it is registered to the RAM 25 and a warning is displayed on an LED/LCD 28. In the apparatus, the peripheral equipment to be connected to the security terminal is unified into the USB interface and the connection state can be monitored. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
