A compressor (1) passes the compressed refrigerant through a condenser (4), heat exchanger (6), dryer (8) to a first tubular evaporator (12) and a second evaporator (14') controlled by electromagnetic valves (10,10') and expansion valves (13,13') after which the valve functions and evaporators are reversed to provide defrosting.
