摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a conventional charging device there is a fear that a charging time is considerably required when a residual amount is extremely less since a charging current is fixed to a predetermined value by battery-type information and there is a fear that a vehicle battery is wastefully consumed since the charging current flows even in such a state that a residual amount of the battery is only slightly reduced and communication can be sufficiently performed when the current is being fed from a cigar lighter socket. <P>SOLUTION: When it is detected that a communication device is connected, the communication device and battery residual amount information of the communication device are obtained and the obtained battery residual amount information is compared with a previously determined battery residual amount information. When it is determined that the obtained battery residual amount is larger than a predetermined battery residual amount, a first predetermined charging current is fed to the battery of the communication device.
