TOOTH-BLEACHING COMPOSITION AND TOOTH-BLEACHING METHOD

[PROBLEMS] To provide a novel tooth-bleaching composition by which a desired tooth-bleaching effect can be obtained within a short period of time compared with the existing ones and a tooth-bleaching method. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A tooth-bleaching composition comprising titanium oxide carrying platinum or gold and a peroxide. It is preferable that the titanium oxide carrying platinum or gold is a substance prepared by heating a mixture of titanium hydroxide with chloroplatinic acid or chloroauric acid. A tooth-bleaching method which comprises coating tooth surface with the tooth-bleaching composition as described above. In this method, the tooth-bleaching composition coating the tooth surface is irradiated with light in some cases as an additional treatment.
