PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical control apparatus that enables an operator to immediately recognize unexecuted blocks. SOLUTION: The blocks of a process program are read one by one (S2-S6, S15) and analyzed (S4, S10, S12). In the case of a skip command and if it is set to be valid, the display attributes of that block are changed (S8). In the case of an optional stop command, the display attributes of the blocks subsequent to that block are changed (S11). In the case of a branch command, the display attributes of the blocks up to a branch destination are changed (S13). Also, the commands of the blocks read are stored in a register REG4 (S15) and the commands stored in a register REG0 are executed (S20). Then the registers REG0-REG4 are shifted (S2-S6).
