<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output apparatus capable of suppressing a heat roller system fixing means from curling transfer paper. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a fixing means 54. The fixing means 54 includes a heat roller 52 for heating transfer paper and a pressure roller 51 pressed against the heat roller. While sandwiching the transfer paper, with images transferred thereto, between the heat roller and pressure roller, the heating means 54 conveys the transfer paper, thereby fixing the images. The image forming apparatus is characterized by including: a curl detecting means 71 disposed downstream of the heat roller and pressure roller in the direction of the conveyance and used to detect an amount of curl in the transfer paper; and a fixing condition altering means by which conditions for fixing by the fixing means are altered based upon the detected amount of curl. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
