PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost electric connector connected with a flat cable having much flexibility for housing configuration in which arrangement work of wire harnesses can be carried out easily and simply, to provide the wire harnesses, and to provide a method for arrangement of the wire harnesses. SOLUTION: The electric connector 10 comprises plural same shape base housings 11a, 11b and 11c which respectively have contact containing cavities 16a, 16b and 16c in a row, and can be put in layers mutually; at least one lock housing 40 which is attached to a top or bottom base housing of the plural base housings 11a, 11b and 11c; and plural contacts 30a, 30b and 30c connected with the flat cable 2 which are contained in the contact containing cavities 16a, 16b and 16c, respectively.
