PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition for a reinforced composite material as a matrix resin of a reinforced composite material, wherein both of heat resistance and toughness can be attained at high levels and can improve prepreg handling properties. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of an epoxy resin composed of (A) 75-85 wt.% of a polyfunctional epoxy resin containing at least 3 epoxy groups per molecule and (B) 15-25 wt.% of a bisphenol F type epoxy resin, (C) 40-60 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin soluble in the epoxy resin component and (D) a curing agent, wherein the polyfunctional epoxy resin (A) contains 3/5 wt ratio or more of a low viscosity polyfunctional epoxy resin having viscosity of 1,000 mPa s or lower at 25°C and the bisphenol F type epoxy resin (B) has viscosity of 5,000 mPa s or higher at 25°C.
