PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine with a novel bonus announcing function with unexpectedness, and a method of control of the slot machine. SOLUTION: When a combination of winning symbols of a bonus hand is stopped/displayed, and if the game is in the state in which the winning of the hand is possible (the game state in which the bonus hand is internally won), the bonus is announced by betting a different number from the number bet in the game state in which the bonus hand is not internally won when a player operates a betting operation means to bet game media.
