PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice transplanter in which a seedling-planting apparatus can accurately be kept in a set posture regardless of lateral movement of a seedling-placing table and the change of quantity of seedling, being inexpensively obtainable. SOLUTION: The rice transplanter is equipped with a position sensor 52 for detecting lateral movement position of a seedling-planting apparatus, an inclination sensor 51 for detecting left and right inclinations and a rolling motor 41 for carrying out rolling operation of the seedling-planting apparatus. When a control electric source is turned on, a control means 50 operates a motor 41 so that the seedling planting apparatus becomes a set posture based on detection information of the inclination 51 while the seedling-planting base laterally moves set lateral movement distance and seedling-placing base data for setting a control target stroke of the motor 41 are measured to store the data in a data storage means 70. After the seedling-placing table laterally moves the set lateral movement distance, the control means 50 sets the control target stroke of the motor 41 based on detection information of a position sensor 52 and stored seedling-placing base data of data storage means 70 and the motor 41 is operated so that the seedling-planting apparatus becomes the set posture.
