PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-spot VCSEL array of which an outgoing near field pattern of each light emitter is adjusted. SOLUTION: The VCSEL array comprises light emitters S1 and S2 arrayed in one dimension or two dimension. The light emitters S1 and S2 comprise a first reflecting mirror 31, a second reflecting mirror 34, an active region 32 and current constriction layer 33 between the first and second reflecting mirrors, and an outgoing opening 36 above the second reflecting mirror on a substrate 30. The light emitters S1 and S2 are simultaneously driven to emit laser beam from the outgoing opening 36. The near field pattern of the light emitter S1 is eccentric for asymmetry relative to the light emitter S2, and that of the light emitter S2 is eccentric for asymmetry relative to the light emitters S1.
