PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a dense dielectric film to be laminated on a glass substrate for a display panel without causing warpage in the substrate, and a method for manufacturing a dielectric film by using a glass composition free of harmful matter such as lead and small in environmental load. SOLUTION: This dielectric film has two or more dielectric layers capable of suppressing warpage of the glass substrate. A lowermost layer (A) of the dielectric layers is formed of a glass composition comprising, in terms of oxides, 1-15 mol% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 10-50 mol% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 30-50 mol% ZnO and 0-12 mol% alkali metal oxide expressed by general formula: R<SB>2</SB>O (R represents at least one alkali metal element selected from K, Na and Li), and has a glass transition temperature of 480-540°C. On the other hand, the glass transition temperature of the glass composition forming a dielectric layer (B) provided on the lowermost layer is 430-480°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
