PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dead angle reduction device and a side visor provided with the function of the dead angle reduction device realizing simplification and cost reduction of the device. SOLUTION: In the dead angle reduction device A for the vehicle provided with a dead angle reduction member M mounted to a front pillar 2 arranged on an outer periphery of a cabin or a door sash 31 superposed on the same pillar and reducing a dead angle area E1 interrupting a visual field of an occupant of the cabin by the pillar 2 or the door sash 31, the dead angle reduction member M is formed as a prism pillar 24 in which thickness t1 of a base end mounted to the pillar 2 or the door sash 31 side is larger than thickness t2 of a projection end side.
