PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas shielded arc welding wire in use for steel for a refractory structure, a welding wire enabling a weld metal to be obtained that has not only high temperature strength, but also extremely superior toughness and an excellent characteristic of high temperature embrittlement resistance. SOLUTION: This gas shielded arc welding wire contains, by mass%, 0.01-0.2% C, 0.1-1% Si, 0.5-2.5% Mn, 0.001-0.1% Al, 1-3% Ni, and 0.001-0.015% N, limiting to <0.01% Cr,≤0.01% O,≤0.02% P, and≤0.01% S, containing one or more kinds from 0.01-2% Mo, 0.01-2% W, 0.005-0.1% Nb, 0.005-0.5% V, and 0.005-0.5% Ta, and also having≥0 T indicated by specific expression (1), 0.05-0.5% Nb equivalent (Nb eq.) indicated by specific expression (2), and the balance composed of inevitable impurities and Fe.
