A method for the production of a film hinge by injecting and filling mould cavities with plastic and then compressing the plastic in the cavities, also includes a step in which the material is squeezed in the junction between two mould parts so that the plastic can be formed while still hot to give the required hinge in a regulated way. Independent claims are included for (1) a mould for this process containing a guide (6) with a sliding block (8) running in a direction at an angle to the interface between two parts to be linked together and fitted with a ram (7) which squeezes the material between the parts like a guillotine (2) a film hinge obtained by the claimed method .
