A steam reformer equipped with metal monolithic catalysts is provided to reduce the consumed energy and to enhance the response characteristics. A reforming reaction member(7) has a metal single body type catalyst with high conductivity. A middle temperature conversion reaction member(16) and pellet type catalyst are embedded into a selective oxidation reactor(22). An air heat exchanger(13), a fuel heat exchanger(17), a water heat exchanger(14) and a water vapourizer(12) are installed at each circumference space within the system appearance and perform the heat exchange by means of the waste heat. The combustion fuel is projected through a combustion type fuel injection nozzle(3). A burner(1) is installed at the lower end of a circular tube body. |
