A clamping apparatus of a disc drive is provided to increase a clamping force for clamping a clamp and decrease an unclamping force for separating the clamp from a turn table, thereby improving the operative reliability of the disc drive. A clamp(30) is selectively coupled with a turn table(24) to fix a disc(D). A catching wing(36) is relatively protruded from an outer circumference of the clamp(30). A catching part(42) has a clamp hole(43), through which the clamp(30) passes. The catching wing(36) of the clamp(30) is caught at the edge of the clamp hole(43). The clamp(30) is bias supported by the catching part(42). The clamp(30) is first contacted with a relative higher portion of the catching part(42), and applies an unclamping force to the clamp(30) at the unloading time of the disc(D).
