POWER LOADING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THROUGHPUT ENHANCEMENT IN MIMO SYSTEMS

A power loading method for improving throughput of a MIMO system and an apparatus thereof are provided to properly reassigning transmission power, differentiated according to eigenvalues of channels, to channels, thereby improving the general system processing efficiency. A communication system comprises a wireless transmitter which transmits data streams through multiple channels by plural antennas. The transmitter includes a power controller which selects transmission power loading per channel according to channel conditions. The transmitter is a MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) transmitter. The controller further selects antenna transmission power loading for each channel based on the channel conditions. The communication system further comprises a unit for obtaining the channel conditions which will be used by the controller.
