MOVABLE FENCE AND METHOD OF OPENING/CLOSING MOVABLE FENCE

A movable fence enabling passengers to safely and smoothly get on and off trains by aligning the doorways of the trains with different door positions with the opening parts of platform doors according to the types of trains. The platform doors (1) comprise door guards (5) installed at the end part of the platform oppositely to the incoming train to the platform (80) of a station and door bodies (7a) and (7b) advancing and retreating inside and outside the openings of the door guards (5). Openings for advancing and retreating the door bodies (7a) and (7b) therethrough are formed at both ends of the door guards (5) in the advancing/retreating direction of the door bodies (7a) and (7b), the lengths of the door bodies (7a) and (7b) in the advancing/retreating direction is formed larger than the length of the door guards (5) between both ends thereof so that the openings of the door bodies (7a) and (7b) can be adjusted according to the door openings of the trains. Based on the information on the arrangement of the doors of the incoming train, openings of the door bodies (7a) and (7b) can be controlled by a controller.
