A method for actively controlling a key debounce interval is provided to allow a user to suitably cope with various types of button sounds by setting a key debounce interval according to continuation of a button sound. A duration of an operation to be performed according to a key input in an application is detected(S101,S102,S104,S105). A certain extra time is added to the detected duration(S106). Time obtained by adding the extra time to the duration is set as a key debounce interval(S109).
