FIELD: metallurgy, namely manufacture of ingots designed for rolling to slabs. ^ SUBSTANCE: ingot has cross section in the form of rectangle narrowing upwards. At least two mutually opposite faces of ingot at level consisting of 0.7 - 0.97 ingot height from lower base are formed at least with one bending. Internal angle between generatrices of ingot surface in plane normal to its base is in range 130 - 230°.
