METHOD FOR PREPARING RHODIUM COMPLEX SOLUTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a rhodium-tertiary organic phosphorus compound complex solution useful as a catalyst for a hydroformylation reaction or the like using an inexpensive aqueous rhodium compound solution.

SOLUTION: In a method for preparing a rhodium complex solution, an aqueous solution of a water-soluble rhodium compound and an organic solvent solution of a water-insoluble tertiary organic phosphorus compound are brought into contact with each other under a gas atmosphere containing carbon monoxide gas. Thereafter, two phase separation is carried out, and an organic solvent phase containing a rhodium-tertiary organic phosphorus compound complex is recovered.
