PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backing structure of a deck allowing the deck to be stably and firmly installed on an installation surface with a gradient and absorbing the gradient of the installation surface regardless of the form of the gradient with easy construction. SOLUTION: In the backing structure of the deck, four joists 2 for placing a deck member are installed in parallel at predetermined spaces, and through members 6, 6 are laid on one side and the other side in the length direction of the joists 2. The respective through members 6, 6 are joined to the respective joists 2 to form a rectangular joist frame 7. Each joist 2 is provided with a plurality of nuts at spaces in the length direction, and a level adjusting leg screwed with each nut abuts on the installation surface 1. Each joist 2 is formed of a rectangular pipe material, and the nuts are provided at the lower wall.
