PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general purpose machining system, detecting the machined surface pressure applied to a tool to be fed back to a control signal of a machine tool, thereby performing stable machining while maintaining best sharpness and machining resistance. SOLUTION: This general purpose machining system includes: a machine tool and a tool fitted to the machine tool, wherein a pressure sensor 3 is provided in the interior of the tool, and the machining pressure in the course of machining is detected through the pressure sensor 3 to control the machining condition according to the detected machining pressure.
