<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication system and an optical transmission apparatus for suppressing waveform deterioration due to wavelength dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: The filter section of the optical transmission apparatus 100 down-converts a received electric signal with 10GHz into a signal with 2GHz and outputs the result to an electrooptic conversion section 120. The electrooptic conversion section 120 converts the received signal into an optical signal and transmits it to an optical receiver 200 via a transmission path 300. The optoelectric conversion section 210 of the optical receiver 200 receives the optical signal and converts it into an electric signal, an electric dispersion compensation section 220 uses an arithmetic operation of compensating waveform distortion due to mode dispersion and recovers the frequency bands discarded before the transmission to output the electric signal with 10GHz. An identification reproduction section 230 uses a clock output from a clock recovery section 240 to identify and reproduce a digital signal from the electric signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
